What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address, the name you provide, and a password (stored as a secure hash — we never see or store your plain password). If you redeem a coupon or subscribe to a paid plan, we store your plan tier and related billing status. Your browser watchlist is stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
How we use it
We use your information to operate your account, control access to free and paid features, respond to support requests, and send essential service emails (such as password resets). We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Where it lives
Account data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and the site is hosted on Vercel. Market data is provided by third-party sources such as Finnhub and public SEC filings; those requests do not include your personal information. If we enable payments, they will be processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers ourselves.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in (authentication session cookies). We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can change your password from your account menu at any time. To access, correct, or permanently delete your account and its data, email us at contact@startlongterm.com and we will action it promptly.
